I have 5 years experience serving clients in the Charlottesville, Virginia area. My Enrolled Agent designation, or "EA", required a 3-part competency test developed by the IRS and continuing education each year.

My EA designation allows me to advocate directly with the IRS on behalf of my clients and represents my commitment to my clients.

I strive, every day, to take care of my clients like I would my own family. I look for ways to communicate the tax code in understandable ways to my clients -- to translate the tax language into normal-speak. In taxes, like many other fields, there are often multiple solutions, and I try to give my clients options and the implications of each option.

I try to take care of my clients by listening and communicating information in a way that is clear, straightforward and reassuring. Trust is a large factor in the tax business and when handling my clients' finances, I'm committed to earning that trust.

I moved to Charlottesville in 2005, when my oldest son was born. My husband grew up in Charlottesville, so I knew we would love to raise our children here. Little did I know how much I would fall in love with the area. From the mountain views in our town to the abundance of hiking, walking, running and biking trails throughout the city and county, Charlottesville has changed the way I interact with the world. Perhaps what has impacted me the most in this area is the people. Almost daily, I meet new and incredible people who inspire me in new ways. Thomas Jefferson would be so proud of the innovation and social connections that still exist in his town. I hope that I can be a little part of what makes people do those great things -- by taking care of tax matters so they can focus on changing the world!
